Just ordered a Carpuride to replace my BMW Satnav mount!
Reviews look good and Ill be able to use MRA vis Carplay on a 7" screen!

I have just had a look at the Carpuride website. They seem to have a different device for every day of the week and still some over.

Awaiting delivery of a W702. Ive an old Ebay phone adapter to suit my BMW satnav mount. I may try and adapt something to suit it as I can then use the USB output already on the adapter to power the Carpuride.

======

Thank you.

I have edited the title of your post, to hopefully make it easier for others who might be considering the device themselves,

Richard

Look forward to hearing about how you mount it in the end and, more importantly perhaps, how you get on with it.

Fast forward to about 11:30 to cut through the bloke’s droning on…. And skip bits thereafter as he drones on more….

No physical premises, offices, or location within the world specified.

No address for returns , just an email address ..

Hmm would i buy one nope

Not big enough, I'd want an at least a 9", preferably 12.9" iPad strapping to the bike. :rob
Just so that I wouldn't see the vital bike instruments and any possible warnings on them. :blast

They are available via the Amazon. From experience, a pretty reliable returns / refund medium. But hey, buyer beware…..

On what bike? / mount ?
Will mount with the kit supplied initially, then should it function as hoped Ill look at options to provide a QD solution adapting a cheap Chinese phone adapter for the BM satnav mount. That way I can use its built-in USB power outlet.

Just watched a review on this today. Looks like the only downside is the inability to pinch or expand the map on the touchscreen

If your headset talks to your iPhone then Voice Assist can handle that and other selections
Correct, it does, everthing Siri does on my iphone is replicated on the nice 7" screen via my helmet comms. Delivered yesterday and installed on the 1150 last night. So far so good. Just need to get out on the bike and see how well it works. I make use of MRA routes, they seem to mirror onto it fine. As they say the proof of the pudding...........1150.jpg

This is just wrong. It is like putting a 90 year old granny, dressed in a boob tube and a mini skirt, in the middle of nightclub dance floor, surrounded by a 20 something year olds.

Indeed, I know what you mean, but hey ho, I like my tech and music at times and its cheaper than a satnav.

Got my W702 today and hoped the hole pattern on the back where the ball is would be a standard AMPS pattern, it isn’t 🤦🏻‍♂️ trying to mount it to the GPS on the 1300 is gonna look dumb with the balls and ram mounts so I’m not sure what to do.

There’s 2 Spanish companies who do a 3D printer adapter so you can use it on the BMW cradle but I bet it ain’t cheap.

Have a look on one of the various 3d printer sites, someone may have developed a solution already

Just seen a report on AV rider regarding these units

It appears there just front ends for your phone

So no GPS as such, it uses your phones GPS to do the work, and relays it to the head unit

supposedly similar for your other phone functions
