Hi, to make the mount working, there is a small tip, all Chinese mounts "forgot" (or maybe on purpose to save money) to add a magnet that will activate the power delivery from the BMW Nav mount, just unscrew the four small screws and glue a small magnet at the rear and try again :

It should work like a charm

It comes from the rear of the BMW mount provided by Carpuride, you have 4 screws to unscrew

I ordered mine from Carpuride on Ebay (£182 inc delivery) and it arrived just over a week later (including bank holiday weekend). Very easy to install and configure. I really like the fact that I have the same systems in car and on bike. I didn't use the provided mounting kit but rather used a short lockable RAM mount extension I had previously used for TomTom. It protrudes toward me less with this mount. I'm interested to know of others connecting their Cardo Scala helmet audio to the W702 as I've heard of some problems with this.

I went with the AAGB3D one, but the one by Valiente Motorsports was the same price and looks pretty much the same. The chap who is AAGB3D was really really helpful to be fair.

How did you order it? I’ve tried contacting both AAGB3D (by Instagram) and Valiente Motorsports (by Facebook Mssenger) without success. Do you have a link to a website where it can be ordered?

I ordered mine from Carpuride website with various discount codes, if buying again I would probably steer to Amazon. Reason, I actually tried to do a return/refund and basically its a kind of no go really. This is what came in the email when I asked.

Dear customer,
If you want to return the product, you will need to send it back, incurring high shipping costs and the risk of losing the product in transit.

I expect if you had a claim under warranty it would be the same - hence I would probably buy via Amazon if I had my time again as far more likely to get access to more Uk based backup should you wish to return or have issues.

has anyone ridden in the rain with this? When the phone gets wet the rain drops can change the screen, which is very annoying - wondering if the same thing happens with this unit?

I’ve ridden in some pretty foul weather & it was ok. However I’ve had several incidents of the screen randomly changing to the home page but as soon as you touch the Apple play icon it’s ok. This has happened in wet & dry weather.

Thanks for that, another question I just thought of - can you use MRA Route Navigator on this? From what I know, which quite frankly is probably not a lot, I thought not all apps can be shown by Android auto.

Yes - I am using it - downside is that MRA Navigator is shall we say in early stages for AA vs Carplay, but improving each release - it maybe a while before its fully sorted I think.

thanks for the update, just been reading the MRA forums and have seen people posting issues about this for Android Auto (AA), i.e. mostly it runs OK, but sometimes things go awry.
Used to use my phone in my car and have now switched to the in-car AA for waze which runs great along side amazon music - was hoping that the experience would be the same with this and understand it is more of an MRA issue rather than the carpuride.

Yes - the carpuride on shall we say established AA apps - waze/googlemaps/spotify/youtube music/whats app all works just like an in car system.

Currently 1200 miles into a 3000 mile tour and the W702 has been through torrential rain, left out in the rain all night cause I forgot to take it off and now in clear skies and 26 degree heat and it’s been more or less flawless. Slight glitch yesterday but didn’t last long. It’s been great so far.

How did you do that? Did they create a special flash file for you or is there a process that we can all have a go at?
