Which is best ?
No idea about connected nav but the Chigee is much better quality than Carpuride.Which is best ?
Can i ask why you prefer the Connected ride ?.I've got both. I like both. If I HAD to choose between them, I'd go for the Connected Ride. I wouldn't pay the new price, though. Did I mention that it's not a Garmin?
Lack of faff, basically. Straight into the cradle, great wonder wheel integration, write routes on MRA and transfer them to the CRN by the CR App. Stand alone sat nav. Solid and well built. It has its issues and foibles but don't they all? I should add that I have no desire to do some of the modern things that people seem to want to do whilst riding. I'd take a phone call but not make one. I listen to music sometimes. That's it. I like the Carpuride for the familiar display of MRA and Google maps etc. and the screen size as my eyesight is dodgy. It can do all those modern things that people seem to want. I've had terrible connection problems but I seem to have sorted that out with a stand alone phone and have resolved the draining battery issue with a power bank etc.Can i ask why you prefer the Connected ride ?.
I have a garmin xt2 but would prefer to use something that utilises the wonder wheel .
Thanks for that . Main use would be similar to you.Lack of faff, basically. I'm lucky that I don't have to choose. It's not a review of each, just my reasons why I'd go for the CRN if I could only have one. Despite BMWs disgusting lack of updates and support for it, it still does what I want.
Forums in relation to both are full of people with loads of problems.
And yes, I'm an old bastard.
Hi there, can you post a link to that price on Amazon pls, I can only see £272? Thanks.Carpuride w702BS excellent, and £241 on Amazon .
It was with a voucher code linked to our account. Sorry I should have made it clear.Hi there, can you post a link to that price on Amazon pls, I can only see £272? Thanks.
Aha, gotcha. Thanks for the reply. It was with a voucher code linked to our account. Sorry I should have made it clear.
I ordered one on Amazon yesterday, £272, should be here today. I had the Chigee 5 before but the display was too small, and the Chigee 6 still seems to have delivery issues plus is more than 2x the price.I’m afraid the voucher has now expired. Bugger, I was about to buy one
£207 on Carpuride website with code DAD33 but taking ages to be delivered.
