I took my bladder out of camel back and put it in my tank bag which kepped it nice and cool and the pipe easily reaches my mouth and strapped water bottles to the pannier top as above

Did you lose any water bottles carried this way during your trip? I've always had bad luck carrying water bottles lashed to the bike with bungee cords when riding offroad.

Git yerself a Canvas Waterbag - we used to use them tied to the front bumper of a car and the wind & evaporation would keep the water icy-cold!

Tie the canvas bags on the front of your panniers (one each side)- facing the riding direction and the air will do the rest

+1 for Kriga Hydro 3. As with all Kriega stuff it's a great bit of kit.

For additional water an MSR water bag bungeed to the top of a pannier works well.

You could use one of them green 5 litre plastic fuel cans.
Strap it to the top of your pannier.
