The bmw spacer puts the wheel out of line, the large flat washers used on the wheel bolts fit perfectly and in 6000 miles have not loosened
The ground down socket is a perfect size and suitable material to use for this application. It has been used for about 10000 miles and shows no ill effects

You used a ground down 17mm socket for a wheel spacer,then you say you packed the rear wheel bolts out with washers.Why not use the spacer from the S which goes straight on and 55mm bolts from the S which are the correct length and available for peanuts from bmw bike breakers.I would definetly keep an eye your back wheel or get the proper bolts.I would not want to a thread titled MY BACK WHEEL FELL OFF TODAY.Andy
