So! After reading a fair bit on here I decided to have a go at removing the cat!
What a job
15 minutes to remove the zorst(after soaking everything in WD40 over night)
Half hr to have it welded and 10 minutes putting it back together couldn't be easier
1st impressions are after riding it home(from work)
A lot less engine breaking, far quicker throttle response, slightly different zorst note( not sure if like the hollow sound)
Over all I'm really happy it's kinda given the bike a feeling that you get when you stick 3extra strong mints in your mouth at once
Next plan.look into a ACCELERATOR module™
Then maybe a rolling road?

What mode bike do you have ?

I have a 2005 and have been thinking to do the same :-)

Decatted mine 2005 like yours added accelerator modual (a no brainier order it!) no lumpy low rev probs

Defo worth having In your option then?
Did you bother having a remap or?

Yes - the accelerator Module is a useful gain in smoothness and performance imo. However, it only works with the ECU as set - a tweak if you like. It can't replicate a remap, which is why I am planning to visit Hilltop

Remap great but I'd prob go with power commander or similar, then got resale value after ok if you keep the bike a while I tend to get bored quick lol
