I ordered my screen on the 26th of October. It was despatched on the 29th and arrived early on the 2nd of November.

Brilliant service!

The screen is 6 inches higher and 4 inches wider than standard.

It only works (for me) in the bottom two positions. It is stable up to 160Kmh and there is no turbulence.

My open face "Roof" helmet is quiet and comfortable and the visor is not required at any speed.

My System 4 helmet is still very noisy in full-face mode but quiet in open-face mode.

Only downside was robbin thievin barsteward French taxman charging €100 on delivery!?!?

Bonjour.

How do you post more than one picture at a time?

Anyone bought one in the UK and if so how much...?

Nadeem,

I suggest you buy direct from the Cee Bailey website. They will ship to the UK. You will pay in $US at their prices instead of the inflated UK prices but you will have to pay VAT when the postie brings it.

I bought an Adventure screen from them in dark tint. The quality is fantastic and worth the shipping wait.

Just been looking at the US site and with the cheapest delivery method it's $223 and with vat still to pay on top, from the Uk it's roughly £165...doesn't seem to be much in it ordering from the states...

hello guys,

although not got my 1200gs yet (next 10 days?) but picking up helpful hints and ideas from this excellent site. so, can someone please explain to me why you guys are buying an after market screen to replace the stock one?

thanks

I suggest it is due to the vibration at low rpm. I think BMW should have sorted this out. I tested two 12GS's before collecting my own and all three have this irritating vibration. Earplugs help a little. Before I fork out £'s on a new screen I might try drilling mine full of 2-3mm holes to help the vibration dissipate.
If anyone disagrees, pls stop me before I don't save myself money.

The tobinators help with the buffeting but the standard screen is still bloody noisy :(
I`m tempted to try mine with no screen :D

Buffeting, rather than vibration, is the problem. Most find that it is quite irritating. My last bike was an 1150R so I find the GS a little noisy but with less turbulance.

Hope this helps.:)

I got my 12 a couple of weeks ago. The dealer had replaced the screen mounting screws (the 2 black ones) with what I assume are a BWM modification being silver coloured screws.

The old screws were with the bike in a plastic bag.

That awful knocking vibration the test bike had is now non existent.

I am now totally happy with the standard screen and see no need to change anything about it. I have it set to one from its lowest setting even though I'm very tall (sitting down anyway).

No buffeting and no vibration, it does what it says on the tin!
