The Centech AP1 unit I received came with US instructions and telling me to get a certain type of gauge wire. Those who have fitted one, what would you recommend and where would I buy it.

Is it worth using the AP-170R because then I assume I wouldn't have to worry about having the right cable.

Its going on a GS1200 and I will be attaching

Aux 12v socket

Cable spec's

On my AP-1 I used 2.5mm sq cable for the battery feeds, as it is rated at 30A continuosly, but with appropriate fuses and relays.

For your accessories look at the spec's of each part, then at the spec's for the cables, and allowing for voltage drop, rate the cable at 150% of the load requirement.

For GPS and intercom you can safely use 7/0.2 wire, but would be best to use 16/0.2 wire. And so on for all your accessories.

Hope this helps
Neil

Also if you google american wire gauge to metric wire sizes, you can find many tables
