Centre stand dimensions

Hi all, would someone be able to tell me the dimension from the foot of the centre stand to the stand axle for a 2002 R1150GS?

The previous owner lowered the bike and shortened the centre stand. I plan to extend it again and discard the 2x4 block that is currently keeping my rear wheel off the ground!

I'd be inclined to pick up a good, second hand one on eBay and get it powder coated.
Going to be much neater and without welds.

Yeah you are probably right - will keep an eye out for one to come up cheap on ebay. Might still have a go at extending the existing one, if it looks pants then I'll buy another. Anyone got the dimension or mind taking a tape measure to their bike?
