Centre Stand Lock

Has anyone put a centre stand lock on their bike I think that will be my next mod my stand could do with a blast and repaint so I could easily weld a bracket on at the same time
I see Cymark offer this
I recently had 3 young lads turn up and try to take my run around Yamaha Vity scooter off my drive I had to check my security cameras when I realised something was amiss with the steering , they broke the steering lock easily by sitting on the seat and with a foot on the handle bar destroyed the steering lock but the centre stand is also locked down when the IGN key is removed this they could not work out and after 15 min trying gave up

I know that nothing is thief proof .
Often find it difficult to chain the bike to an immovable object when staying at hotels etc.
This is my deterrent which holds the steering in full lock and holds the centre stand down.
The chain under the rubber is wrapped in a tape that clogs cutting discs.
If the centre stand bar was cut it would sprag and trap the disc / blade.
Stores on the bike out of the way.

Like this you mean. Been on the Donkey for over 20 years and worked more than once.That's not the lock I use, I've got a proper container lock on it.

The only weak point I can possibly see is that if they cut the centre stand bar and force the retaining loop free, could they simply tie the remainder to the fork leg, or loop it parallel to fork leg without having to cut it any more?

I can understand why . welding a lug on the stand is straight forward but making a corresponding lug for the frame is a bit more tricky
that's why I've posted here to see if anyone has done it on the 1200 Hexhead

Just had the main stand security modification done for my 2023 R1250GS; brilliant to be able to talk to Mark directly. to aid theft in line with government expectations to cripple the country - you have little choice other than to just suffer - AKA

The police have done nothing AT ALL for last 50 years - other than persecuting the people paying their wages - (rich don't pay ever)
Changed the way insurance works in 2012 from them accepting a risk - to if you put a comma in the wrong place, they will never payout
We let all the worst filth in from eastern Europe - even spending 5 billion of your pay rises to destroy Ukraine to push in even more in
Allow the sale of rechargeable angle grinders - to ensure absolutely any Lock / CAT or DPF comes off - no problem at all !
And if you don't like it - think about how much of your taxes the are handing over to sort out difficult people in Gaza !

Can't speak to your experience but in my case, the theft was reported to the Police at 0657hrs and they returned the bike to me by 1000hrs the same day. The officer who located the bike (stashed approx 600m from my house) called in two of his colleagues to help push the bike back to my home. They were good enough to record the crime as a burglary rather than theft of a vehicle so that I didn't get a 'stolen & returned' marker against my bike (and a subsequent immediate drop in the bike's resale value). Two other bikes were nicked from my area on the same night and found in Newport, Wales. Clearly bugger all to do with Ukraine, Gaza or immigrants. Just good local policing.
