Is there anyone on this site that makes centre stand protectors? The centre stand cross bar on my last Adventure was rusting in the centre, where all the chippings etc get thrown up by the front wheel. Failing that, which ones do the panel recommend?

I know Touratech sell them and I'm sure they're good quality, but after hearing so many horror stories about Touratech delivery times I'm reluctant to use them. :(

I got one of those skid plates from boxer designs for about 20 squid. 5 mins to bolt on.

They're all a pain in the arse - you have remove them to take the sump plate off to drain the oil. = the bolts rust and snap off, and the clamps that hold them on rust the stand under the clamp anyway

You could remove the sump plate with the bike on the sidestand, then put it on the centrestand & drain the oil....

Sorry Rick, I can't PM you as you are not a Sponsor. Yes, I'm still interested, and would rather deal with someone off this site, than a faceless company. No photos have appeared, but if you like e-mail it to cambell.evans @ evansbros.co.uk (but take out the gaps). :thumb

piece of plate/sheet metal cut to fit, drill holes in the right places and cabletie them on get an old pushbike inner tube to protect the centre stand paint work :thumb
