Happy New Year - it's winter service time!!
Decided to try Champion RC9YC's when servicing the bike last week, however, while in Halfords I noticed they were also selling a new range of Champion plugs - the EON range??. These are claimed to provide better starting, acceleration and longer life?. The gap is much wider - set at 0.95mm - hence a fatter spark to aid combustion?. The one which seemed to cover the RC9Y range seems to be the EON 2, so I bought a pack of four. I fitted two of them today ( '01 1150 single spark ) but haven't tried them on the road yet. The start-up looked promising though, with the bike running very crisply?.
Have any other GS'ers tried these yet???

Cheers......................Grizzly:beerjug: :beerjug:

Plugs

Bought a pair of these NGK Iridium, BKR7EIX, at the NEC bike show.
Have not fitted them yet so do not know how they will compare to the standard plugs, which have twin earth electrodes.

Having had a GS1150 twin spark for less than 5 months and still under warrantee, so not having to diy at the moment, the question is are all 4 plugs the same size? On one thread I thought I read that one plug on each side only fires at low revs to clean up the emissions, is this true? What type of plugs should be used?
