Here is my experience so far with Chandlers.
A while ago I was out for a ride on a cold but sunny sunday, thought i would pop down to Chandlers to see about getting the bike serviced. Walked into the showroom (cars) to be told the bike part was closed due to staffing issues. No probs said I, I will come back during the week.
So one day during the week whilst passing I popped in, enquired with the salesman where the service reception was. He said that the service receptionist was away that day for training, ok I said no probs can you get her to call me so I can discuss a service for the bike and when its in I shall have a chat about changing the bike for a new or nearly new model. Ok said he and he took my details.
A week and a half goes by with no phonecall, So luckily due to work I was passing the door once again, so I popped in. This time the service receptionist was on a day off. Noticed the same salesman so went for a chat. I explained that no one had been in touch and he appologised and whilst I was there he emailed her my details and explained what I needed and would she give me a call to book the bike in. Well that was about two and half weeks ago now and still no call, so have given up. I will return to Vines to purchase my next bike where I got the last three from, shame really as Chandlers are just down the road. Also getting the bike serviced with someone else now.
I spent a number of years in the bike trade, specifically sales, having a good service department helped me in increasing my sales as it gave you an already loyal customer base which helped in repeat sales.
Chandlers, sorry but I can't be arsed to keep asking.
As for the salesman, not your fault you were quite helpful. But if I am going to spend my hard earned money, I will do it where I feel a little bit valued. Not calling people back when promised is not very good customer service.
