Change milles to kms in a GS 1200

Hi! both my GS's a 08 GS 1200 and a 2011 GSA 1200 came from the UK, obviously the odometer is in miles.

I'm in Portugal and we use kms, does any one if there's a manual way to change the odometer to kms?

Or I really must go to a BMW dealer?

Dealer I'm afraid. I had to have mine done here in Cyprus. They did it during a service for free

Look at the Hexcode.sa website - there's dealers in most countries. A GS911 diagnostic tool can do most things you'll ever want to do.

http://www.hexcode.co.za/products/gs-911 If this is all you want to do then it probably isn't worth it for you. If your going to do your own servicing though it is well worth having. Not sure if you need to use a VIN to do this. If not and you can find a friendly local they will be able to do it for you.

If you dont have a BMW dealer locally then the 911 will pay for itself. Even "little" things like parking the throttle body stepper motors for throttle balancing are not possible without a 911. Its an electronic bike so the list is endless. You also can't properly service the bike without one.
