Well, 7 months later...and the bike is fixed.
Having replaced the plugs, coil and the HES the r/h cyclinder still wouldn't fire.
Decided that I had to drag the bike from the corner of the garage and take it to someone who knows much more about these things than I do. My friend eventually discovered that the green wire going into the electrical connector on the injector had split from where it's crimped on. As he didn't have a spare, he carefully performed some delicate surgery and the bike fired into life on both cylinders. After a good hour of tuning/balancing/cleaning he realised that the TPS was not set correctly, so that was adjusted. The Cat Code plug was also removed and various other adjustments made. Cue sound of sewing machine - smoother than ever
I think that it was Ian who suggested that the wiring could have been disturbed during the original tank replacement - looks like you were spot on mate
