Right then you lovely ladies and gentlemen!

If you have an R12GS / GSA and fancy a bit of a change I am now in a position to offer a colour change service, either ride in / ride out or by post.

This is how it works ......

You send me your beak and tank cover ......

At which point I package them back up in their box and send them back to you! It's that simple!

All you have to do is choose your colour!

"How much for this fantastic service" I hear you cry??

£199 including return post for a single colour in either solid or metallic finishes. I can accommodate individual paint schemes on an POA basis if required.

The graphics come from Two Wheel Humvee of this parish but aren't included however I'm happy to fit the graphics if supplied.

Any questions .... please feel free to drop me a PM or give me a ring on the number below! :thumby:

Naturally I'm able to undertake paintwork on any motorcycle, again just get in touch!

Go on, treat yourself!

re colour change

tempting, would love mine in white....

I have some questions,

1, How difficult is it to remove the tank cover and beak?
2, How durable is the paint, is it done in a low bake oven or is just sprayed on?
3, The ride in ride out service, please explain more

Thank you

Malc

1:- Dead easy on a 2005 model.

3:- Ride in. Continue riding, but slowly so that he can spray you all over. Ride out a different colour. Expect a little overspray :D

Hi Malc,

The beak and tank panel are very easily removed, probably 20 minutes if you really take your time.

I only use 2k (2 pack) Lechler primer and paint and a high solid crystal 2k lacquer if the finish is metallic. It's as durable a finish as you can apply!!

If you bring the bike to me I'm happy to remove and refit the panels before and after painting, that process however takes a minimum of 72 hours. I other words, you'd need to leave the bike with me for a couple of days minimum.

Hmmmmm, that's nearly how it works!

How much is postage to you likely to be from North Yorks?

Hmmmm ..... there's too many variables to consider (size / weight of box, service chased etc etc)

If you allowed £25 I don't think you'd go far wrong.

Ignore the Post office. My bicycle cost £13 to come to Cardiff from Belfast and cost £13 with Senditnow.com (actually Parcel Force).

They collect and will print the stickers.

Any thoughts about dipped graphics finishes?

I did look into it but decided that it's likely to be a bit of a fad. I've not once read anywhere on any forum that I post on of people having it done let alone raving about it.

In setting up my facilities I concentrated on traditional paint, it's important at this early stage that I don't invest too heavily in equipment that could quickly become yesterdays news!

I could of course be wrong?
Ask me again in a year's time :D

Hhhmmm. But what colour to go for??

Any colour you like fella!

My paint supplier has around 200,000 formulated colours to choose from ........ that's without custom tints etc!

Worlds your oyster!

That's the trouble. I just can't make my mind up. I couldn't make my mind up when I only had the choice of THREE colours :blast

You should send them to me and let me choose!

Imagine the anticipation upon opening the box when you get them back!

Now there's an idea. But why do I suspect they would come back metallic pink or purple..

Actually, metallic bubblegum pink sounds quite good.

Or maybe KTM orange.

Sorry. I'm on the phone.
