hello,

i wanna change my exhaust and the "Y" piece, 1150GS 2 spark, i'm thinking on a Remus or Leovince...

What do you recomend? Change only the exhaust and leave the cat? or change all? the exhaust and the "Y" piece? what will be the difference?

Thank you very much!! :aidan

There are so many opinions on this subject. By the time you've read the replies, you'll possibly be none the wiser.

Me? I run the standard system.

Just take it off

Took my standard silencer off at the beginning of summer and just clamped a stubby endpipe from the local motor shop for a fiver on the exit from the cat:thumb2

Gives it a nice burbly noise between 3 & 5k revs which people do notice:thumb2 and it pops now & again when you close the throttle. Have done almost 10k with no probs, fuel consumption unchanged and the bikes a bit lighter. (You'll be suprised how much the silencer weighs)

Apparently even with the silencer removed the cat keeps the decibels below the legal requirement:nenau:nenau i think. Never been stopped cos of it yet. Anyone any knowledge re this?

I've been tempted to do this since I first read about it. What colour were your spark plugs when you changed them?
