From VFR V-tech to 1150 adv
I have changed this year from a VFR to an 1150 adv with all the ally boxes.
reason for change primarily to slow down, yes I have no self control.
the bike is great, big, but great.
and having just returned from Switzerland and very twisty mountain roads of northern Italy a total of 2550 miles in a week with a last day dash from Zurich to Cheshire!!!!!!! I wouldn't change the GS. the seat got a bit bum numbing (it s standard) but hey look at the mileage.
the GS gives you a great view of everything, the road ahead over the hedges etc
you have to have a bit of an attitude change as you can imagine but if I can manage that anyone can.
it makes you take command of the road you just feel better on a GS.
it has its quirks like being aware the brakes have to set themselves when you switch the ignition(abs servo) but they do work...........
and you have to check the oil something you don't think about on a Honda.
and i had to be careful and think about where I parked using the side stand fully loaded.
on the move even fully loaded you can go very slow feet up and it handles surprisingly well when you have your quick head on, mate on a new blade was impressed.
on the whole i am very please go for it.
