I've only had the 650gs a week, and yes, I have child size feet so even with my Alpinestar SMX4s on. This means that when I go to change up a gear I keep missing the lever unless I shove my foot right forward. I know you can get shorter versions. Any recommendations or other advice - other than buying a pair of clown shoes?

...I've extended a few gear levers on bikes before so no reason why you can't get someone to shorten it for you

You could always get a nice guy who's local to cut it, shorten it and weld it up for you if you know any or pop round mine and I would do it for a small fee.

Regards

Mark

Buy another lever so that you can costom fit one for you and keep it.
I have not had a close look but could a lever from a smaller bike be made to fit.
