Changing my Front Tire

i was at the dealers and noticed that most of the bikes had weights on, and i think all that were spoked wheels had weights, there were a few that didn't have any on but not many, i was looking at them because mine had no weights on either wheel from new, the dealer said that not all bikes need them, but given the amount that had weights, some double rows maybe the manufacturer process is not as good as it once was.

If the wheel has the TPM's fitted it will need balance weights. Mine does and there's 2 x 20g weights fitted from the factory to take those into account on the opposite side of the valve. Nowt to do with the manufacturing process just the laws of physics.

Ahhh i see, well i don't have TPM,s fitted, and there were no weights on my wheels - so fitting the tyre and not balancing isn't that big a deal - i have to say i have no vibrations at all :)

just a thought... i was looking at valve extenders... Is that enough to send the wheel out of balance..

Yes it is. Depends on the weight as to how much they affect the balance and personal preference if that makes it a problem to you. When I lost a couple of balance weights off my K11 front wheel the vibration was intolerable at 90mph.

Well there is only one way to find out....stick them on and see if wheel wobbles.

Not sure why you would want these on all the time as pumping tyres is a rare event. Keep one on the bike not two on wheels.

It can be even simpler, I just go to Mikeyboy, who's just down the road!
