Two questions to those in the know:
Firstly, am I likely to need a replacement O ring for the fuel upmp assembly? I ordered a Full Service kit from a mail order BM dealer and it came with all sorts of washers, but no O rings for the fuel filter change. should I wait till I can get hold of one, or can I forge ahead? I want use the GS next week for commuting as the CB's back tyre is looking a bit on the bald side, so I don't want to dismantle the tank and find I can't put it back togather the same day.
Secondly, Neil (Steptoe) pointed out how the fuel filter can be kept outside the tank, one the side of the bike, maknig access and changing easy. What do I need to do to acheive this? What do I need (eg fuel line to cut to size, extra tube clamps etc).
If I can, I'd like to do this at the same time as changing from my original tank to the ADV tank I recently acquired.
Cheers.
