I have a cetek charger and it is excellent. Last two GS bikes have been kept topped up. I don't leave on permanent just plug in at end of each month from October to March. Works very well for me. Bike is run over Winter though. Rainbow M/C recommended it.

Just went down to my local Lidls and there werent any left 
just install directly to the battery mate, forget the canbus bollocks then, it's no hardship, I'm using an ancient datatool optimate clone, and it's fine, I have the fly lead connected to the battery, and that has it's connector cable tied to the frame .... sorted.
No need for canbus / accessory socket chargers

If you wire in a fused bussbar block you can have easy access to a number of power connecting points direct from the battery without the messiness of a dozen ring terminals to fit to the battery.
This has 6 outlets with one main inlet lead from the battery.
