Just fitted a new 660 wired up as my old 2820 have checked power at fuse .My question is with the ignition on and then turn zumo off should it charge as if plugged into mains power feed and it is turned off.
I couldn't seem to find live power at any of the pins on the holder does any one know if or which should be live.
Cheers R.R.

As we have no idea how you wired up your old 2820, it's very difficult to help you.

Await your news.

Was it powered from the bike, when the zumo was switched on?

Some tests:

1) with bike running - load the zumo into the cradle...... does it switch on automatically?
2) when you switch the bike off - does the zumo ask if you want to switch off/continue on battery?

If it does both the above - then it should be getting charged from the bike, even when the zumo is off - unless there is a contact on the mount, which is sticky?

give the pins a spray with WD40, and poke them a few times with your finger.

Hi thanks for your help .I just plugged into the car and yes it does ask if you want to turn off or continue on battery power went back to bike and and all seems well :D
I have a garmin Nuvi for the car and you have the facility when if you turn the unit off but leave power source on it will charge it up.I believe this to be the case with the 660
on 240 mains power supply.

It should be charging, but you could always check the continuity from your two cores back at the plug or connection to the fuse panel - to any of the pins on the mount - with a multi-meter?
