charging camera batterys on the road

Everything I charge using the inverter is always while I'm on the move as they have bloody long roads Down Under. Just USB stuff phone,iPod,MP3 is fine while stationary.

I just run the laptop cable from the holdall at the back down the side and into the tank bag, no problem. Not being an electrician I was told by the geezer in the shop and by doing a little research on the net that 150/300 Watt inverter should cover most of what I need charging.

I tend to use 2 battrys per camera per day!
I think it will be 12v sockets in a tank bag.
Are we sure pulling down power for battery or two and Phone and is OK?
haha - also
Laptop! Whats the veiw on that!?

Can I charge my laptop on the road? :bow

I reckon I get 7-800 clicks per battery, perhaps you should concentrate on quality rather than quantity:augie:D

I specifically bought a camera that uses AA batteries to avoid all this faff. A couple of spares in my pocket takes up no space and if I use them up, every corner shop has more.

. Halfords sell multi cig lighter sockets, connect one to topbox end of the cable. ....

Poundland also sell multi plug cig lighter sockets ;)

I have a powered 4 plug multi socket i keep in the bottom section of my tank bag.
I can charge ipod, camera batteries and phone whenever i want. Only visible sign is a wire leading from the headstock to the tank bag.

My old nikon D2X gives 3500 "clicks" betwen charges :thumb2

Camera to match you bike? Same Era? Maybe a little underpowered compared to todays kit... but very well built.... just like the 1150 :hide

Just chucked all my Nikon kit out, and went another way, just got a little point and shoot Nikon left...going to swap that for some bike stuff

I take one of those everywhere with me. Use it to snap while riding.

Ha - I sometimes do that for a job. Hang of the back of Moto's to take pictures of bicyle racers. Ironicaly the GS is the worst bike for that job.

Mostly now I put a magic arm as a tripod on the crashbars... but don't use it for a job... yet :bounce1

you should get a new nikon, that NIKON E7600 is getting a bit long in the teeth.
Swap you a service for a Nikon p7700 :augie

I just use a 12v socket with a plug in USB adapter for most stuff and for the Nikon batteries/laptop I have a coke can sized inverter that's not too big or heavy. :thumb

Haven't really used it much as campings been off the schedule for a while.

Not quite the same as mine, but similar,

Lidl have a good price on a similar bit of kit:

The picture would still be the same no matter what the age of the camera used. :D
