charging light

got a problem with r100gs , when i turn ign on there,s no lights on the dash . when i start it neutral light comes on but is dim and charge light flickers . when i rev it both lights stay on and are bright , when the revs drop to tickover charge light goes off . when its in gear both of em stay off .
anybody got any ideas , cos i avnt .

Toadjam, I had a similar problem last weekend - similar but not the same.
No neutral light, no indicator lights, but a permanently on generator light.
Found a short on one of the indicators, this had blown a fuse.
Short fixed, fuse replaced, all dash lights working as normal.

I had a similar problem. With the engine started do you have any lights indicators? If not check the two black relays situated at the r/h side of the frame, under the tank. Swap the positions of the relays and try again. Costs nowt to try. A new one from those wonderful men in Baveria cost me 11 euros.

cheers . my indicators weren,t working , i took out the relays cleaned them and put them back . must be that . on night shift for 5 nights so will have to have a look after that .
