Charity cycle ride - Sunday 19th June 2011 at 10:00am
This is pedal power - no GS's! Time to dust off your bicycles and get out the Lycra!
On Sunday 19th June 2011, Father's day, we will be having a charity cycle ride in aid of the prostate cancer charity.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK. 37,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. 250,000 men are currently living with the disease. As the majority of our customers are men, it seemed the logical choice.
It's quite apt that we will be doing this on Father's day.
Entry will be £10 for each adult and free of charge for children under 16.
All money raised will go to charity - nothing is kept back.
The 20-mile route will start and finish here at our showroom in Hampton, Peterborough. IT IS NOT A RACE! The route will be mostly on cycleways and will be aimed at the whole family to take part. It will probably take 2-3 hours of gentle cycling and you can then go enjoy your Father's day lunch!
There will be free bacon butties and drinks here before the start so aim to be here by 9:30 am.
We will also be stopping off at Charters pub on the river in Peterborough for refreshments which is about 3/4 of the way round so you can grab a pint or two of your favourite tipple!

It would be good to have some of you guys join us on this ride. There will be a full compliment of staff doing the ride & you don't have to be Lance Armstrong to complete the course, just make sure your bike is up to it too!
