Reliving bike trips whilst sat at my desk....
Do any of you know where I can find a cheaper sort of clutch lever?

I want to have in case, despite the bush guards, the original snaps in the middle of Patagonia but, having looked at the James Sherlock Catalogue which looks to be pretty representative, it seems that the original costs about £40!!!

So, if anyone can recommend a pattern manufacturer, or if you have one in your garage (R1150GS), let me know!!

Cheers

I`ve got a pair of secondhand levers stashed under the seat of all my bikes.

Plus I always have spare cables with me.

It`s also worth having the lever clamp screws ever so slightly loose,so that the assembly might rotate on the handlebar in an 'off' rather than snapping the levers.

File a groove in the levers, about inch and half from the pivot -

So if the lever is going to snap, it'll snap at that point, and you'll still have something to pull on . :thumb

It's always good to have something to pull on :D
