Had an accident while here in Cyprus at a junction thanks to a filter jumper on a right turn. as a result i ended up sliding along on my arse my knees(a bit) and also my elbows (a bit more) oh and the gloves are now useless too.. Bike gear is torn to bits and now no good except for the bin. The bike seems to have suffered no other damage than a very very small abrasion patch on a crashbar and a handguard. I'm pretty certain that my boots will be ok if i just glue them back together. I'm a 38 or 36 waist and about a 44 ish chest. if anyone has any cheapish or free bike gear that would be great, but if not I'll stay off the bike until I've saved enough to buy replacements.

I think I've had a lucky escape as I seriously considered for all of about 4 minutes whether I could be bothered putting all the extra gear on or not.

Glad that I did as it has no doubt saved my skin.

Anyone able to help.??

P.S. Driver got out of her car to see if I was ok, and at the mention of police she promptly fucked off as did all the "witnesses".

Did get a partial index but Cypriot Plod just shrugged their shoulders and told me " But you are a biker its probably your fault anyways" and not so politely refused to take the matter any further.

cnts.

Sorry to hear about your accident, glad that your kit saved your skin, literally!

I've got a red/black Frank Thomas cordura jacket, with CE armour (XL), which I don't wear anymore and is just hanging up in the garage, you're welcome to that for the cost of postage, probably no more than £10 as an estimate.

It's a good few years old, but in good nick

Just let me know if you want it and I'll get it organised

Wish you a quick recovery

Cheers

Geoff

Geoff, Thanks for your kind offer, which would be greatly appreciated. Will be sending you a PM shortly. Regards, Mark

I've got a pair of Sidi boots, size 43.
Vertigo's I think.
Previously worn by some knee down merchant so sliders are worn but good for street cred.
Work well, no holes, free if they are of any use.
I'll pay to post them if you'd like to just pop a couple of pounds in a charity box towards the postage.

Sorry to hear about that - there are certainly some places in the world where being a foreigner well and truly makes you a second class citizen.

I think you and I are slightly different frame sizes but if there's any bike stuff I can help with just drop me a line upon your return.

Best wishes,

S

Hi Mark,

Didn't realise that you were still here in Cyprus.

Where did you have the prang?

I've got some old leathers that might fit, but will probably be too small. your welcome to pop down and try them on. Also some old gloves. I'd need them back at a later date, as there for use when various friends come visiting.

Smythson, got nothing to do with being a foreigner, local plod not really interested in any kind of accident.

I have some waterproof trousers with armour that you can try.Only worn once so in perfect condition.PM when you`re back and we can meet up and you can try for size. They are free by the way :thumb

I've got some spare kit Mark, and am in Camberley, but you'd need to lose some weight first:augie

It might be a bit too small for you:D

Hope you're ok though:thumb

I'm in Limassol tomorrow, PM sent with contact details.

Most of the spare gear I have is too tight on me now (must have shrunk:D), but something might fit. Have you checked
http://www.buysellmoto.com
they have a gear for sale section.

I'm well, riding the bike again (broken leg in May), and still doing RoSPA training.
