how can you find out what bitrate was used when importing songs into itunes in AAC?

in all other formats you can check in properties, but i can't find it anywhere with AAC files

ps. i know how to alter it, i just don't know how to confirm it in previously imported files.

At great personal effort expenditure - i've fired up iTunes to check.

Rightclick along the top of the song section - on the menu bit - not the main menu bit, the one underneath - above the song titles - yes that one.

then click on the word that says 'bitrate' :) :thumb

....or am i being sarcastic at the wrong end of the stick ? :nenau

ta.

i didn't have the bitrate column showing in itunes.

i did the get info thing, but it only works in the library, or other already imported screens, not source. obvious now i think about it

what i was also doing was right clicking on the actual file & looking at properties. i expected it to be there as it would if it was an mp3 file, but i couldn't see it.

thanks again & sorry for being a bit dim :o

Just because a MAC based product is not intuitive to you does not make you dim,

Possibly the converse?
