Chigee AIO5 Play for BMW

Every man, women & alternative seems to have reviewed the unit on YT…. the amount of free units they sent out

How do you show tyre pressures on your phone or use the BMW jog wheel to control navigating a route ?
My bike already shows tyre pressures....All BMWs show their tyre pressures??

My jog wheel works with my phone when in Nav mode...press and hold left menu button up.

You just add a carpre iter device...been discussed on this forum numerous times

You can even use a tablet (guys who do proper off road use it) for a bigger screen

But then again my phone is also voice activated so can be controlled without touching anything just as I did today on a ride out, listening to music, changing tracks and getting Google maps to navigate to different places without touching anything

All BMWs show tyres pressures ?
Only if you have a TFT screen surely ?

I get your points but I still think this Chigee is pretty clever , being much cheaper than a Nav 6 or the latest thing where you can slot your phone in.

It’s obviously not for you , but others may find it useful.

How do you charge your phone??

This has to connect to your phone for data and gps doesn't it?? So phone battery will die quicker whilst in your pocket

Why don't you just mount your phone and cut out the middle man??

I normally use a Peak Design mount and have phone plugged in to charge but have got a Chigee for my Himmy and will have phone on charge in mini tank bag.

Less chance of it being damaged when off road

My RS SE doesn't because I didn't "tick that box" in the options list, though a cautionary tale for anyone with a 17" front wheel is I then put some aftermarket external TPMS modules on mine and they fouled the inside of the RH front brake caliper so I took them off again so worth checking if you do decide on an after market set that they don't do the same.

I have to admit this is my first bike ever to have them so not something I was ever bothered about.

I don't understand buying something that your phone already does?
Just my opinion but the Chigee screen looks far easier to read than my iPhone 13, I don't yet have a Cigee btw.
I don't have TFT so there's no way to link my phone to the wonder wheel.
I do however have Car Play in my Yeti and it's great. I wouldn't want to be without it now.
The car's sat nav mirrors my phone, everything is easily accessable and Google maps is easier to use than the Skoda (VW) nav system.
I can also use whatever mapping app I have on my phone.
Messages are read out to me and I can dictate replies.
Each to their own, I do get what you say.

My kickstarter unit arrived from Hong Kong Tuesday. Used it for 90 miles round trip to work yesterday.

Replaced a Carpuride 7” which was far too big. I think a 6” with smaller bezels would be the ultimate unit but this is great.

Easy to read in daylight, works perfectly with CarPlay and the ability use the wheel to control it is excellent.

£324 all in with kickstarter discount. Pretty happy with that as I’ll probably get £120 for the carpuride on eBay.

Would recommend.
