The pub has gone up market this year; i've heared the steaks are tremendous.

The pub was not open during the circuit but providing good shade seating and a reasonably priced sandwich’s, yes the French guys were up for it, a friendly load of good guys

We spent a large part of Saturday afternoon sitting outside the bar opposite the chicane in the photos. Jupiter is €1.5 for a small bottle whereas you pay €2.5 for a plastic glass holding slightly less at the official circuit bars so it’s well worth the risk of passive cannabis smoking as the owner stands outside smoking a spliff.

Previously they’ve always been open to sell beers of all varieties along with proper meals if you were prepared to wait rather than going for the instant gratification of a sandwich.

The red gazebo in front of the house on the opposite the chicane is the seating area for what I suspect is a slightly illegal bar but who’s going to try and move 40-50 inebriated race fans?
