What never ceases to amaze me, is how folks think it's a 'result' when BMW decide to put a new engine in their 6k ml bike.
They're saying that BMW stands by their warranty, and are apparently willing to replace the whole motor for something as non-functional as minor corrosion in some cases. FWIW, Ducati warranty was worthless when I complained about my engine paint peeling off in large chunks on a bike barely over a year old.
Count me among the thousands of purchasers who have had zero problems after 3 years. Bike runs like a top and is so much fun to ride. Oh, wait, it did have one problem, the windshield developed small cracks around the mount holes and was replaced under warranty with a new shield and new mounts to prevent the issue going forward. I guess its a POS after all.
Yes, a few people have had bad experiences, but its not ubiquitous, not even close.
