Where does the cable go after it leaves the lever at the bars? Mine only seems to be working when I hold it fully up, not on the 1st setting so guess it needs adjusting, just no idea how to....

I you follow the cable from the bars immidiately after you will find a thick rubber sleeve. Pull the sleeve back and you will find a lock nut type adjuster.
Once adjusted roll the rubber sleeve back and job done.
