So Jim has a new bike and Sgt Bilco wanted to go for a play so a plan was hatched to go around the lane near me on Sunday.

Here is JimboGSA and the Sarge on their trusty steeds, you'll notice that my bike is still dirty from the Hograost :augie You'll also notice that Jim's bike is looking a tad clean... that's because it's about a week old!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2667393203/" title="IMGP2238 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3171/2667393203_a9907463e7.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMGP2238" /></a>

We were quickly on the trails, here's Bilco showing how it's done:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2667394963/" title="IMGP2239 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3137/2667394963_1313ec0b2e.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMGP2239" /></a>

Swiftly followed by Jim:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2668221154/" title="IMGP2242 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3015/2668221154_3a05809658.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMGP2242" /></a>

Here's a couple videos of a ford in Kineton. Despite the recent rains, the stream was still pretty low but it was fun nonetheless:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AJczTMgzeNo&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AJczTMgzeNo&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AK2YNKPf8Vc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AK2YNKPf8Vc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Then we went to look for some puddles ;-)

Here's Jim going through, click on it to see a bigger version:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2667406681/" title="IMGP2245 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3248/2667406681_d5a5b2488a.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMGP2245" /></a>

Here's Bilco going in with style:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2668233836/" title="IMGP2248 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3287/2668233836_49fbdfc801.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMGP2248" /></a>

Coming out looking good:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2667408487/" title="IMGP2250 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3102/2667408487_e7446393d9_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="IMGP2250" /></a>

After playing in the mud, we went to Ryknild Street - an old Roman Road that is a long straight with a nice mix of terrain. To do this, we had a play with the head mounted cam:

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0YZlZCGKA3o&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0YZlZCGKA3o&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Sorry about the sound :-(

Then it was back to the pub for a bite to eat. Here you can see Jim looking pleased with himself :-)

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2667423937/" title="IMGP2253 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3226/2667423937_0022979c6b.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMGP2253" /></a>

So would you be if you were eating this ;-)

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2667427385/" title="IMGP2254 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3071/2667427385_97f47bb851.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMGP2254" /></a>

All in all, a good day. Here are the happy couple!

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2667430527/" title="IMGP2255 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3197/2667430527_6a50a0385a.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMGP2255" /></a>

And one christened bike :-)

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/jasemarkos/2667433663/" title="IMGP2256 by jsmarkos, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/2667433663_140973b847.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="IMGP2256" /></a>

Twas a perfect afternoon and it`s really good to see a GSA being used properly. I thought is was only me and Louisdut who didn`t mind getting them down and dirty:augie

Those sausages were as good as they looked:thumb

Jimbo

You are a brave man, my identical GSA is also a week old and the nearest its come to off road is the grass next to my driveway!

as it happens, you aren't

I just got fed up of posting ride outs and getting zero replies and so I got something that didn't hold up the others, but if more people in the west mids area are going to do this then I'll put the off road kit back on the gsa

:thumb thats what they're there for! looks great all covered in mud though i must admit I've washed it twice since sunday and liberally applied FS360 and wd40 to make it look shiny and new again! just upto 450 miles on the clock now :D

I am indeed still alive...just about, I will catch up with Bobster pretty soon...:thumb

Forget the GS800, it's a feckin girls bike. My mountain bike has got more road 'presence'!

I'm having that RT all day on Sunday, Jemima! That's a real mans bike, I don't reckon I'm gonna wanna get off the thing. We're gonna have a good blast up into Elan valley, take the mountain road to Aber and maybe down the coast and back through Breacon?

Big screen, big feck off heated seat and proper suspension...oh yeah...:clap

RT, RT!!!! You'll be wanting your pipe and slippers next - jes!!!

Rob did say he'd give you £5k for your HP2 tho, cash waiting!

Robbie

I`m up for plenty of off road stuff but not on the 1200GS-A. I`m nor preciuos about it but it`s too big to be fun for me as I`m not that good off road. I had 2 BIG off`s a couple of months ago and decided that it was gonna hurt real bad or be very, very expensive.

Bought the XT and it`s a whole new world:thumb

Hi JimboGSA

Will you be getting your GSA dirty at the Touratech event 27/28th sept.

KTM Chris :augie

You wouldn't have a mapsource route file would you by any chance? That looked like a good ride :D
