christmas night out

what about L'etoile on the ormeau road in belfast? it's belfast's best kept dining secret and does fantastic steaks relatively inexpensively. it is byo, but given one of the best off licenses i've ever visited is 5 doors down, that's not so much of an issue.

suggestions

good man Si and anyone have more suggestions ? and what about an inexpensive bed for the night for those that would prefer to return home the following day.
And what about this relatively inexpensive . Is that inexpensive relative to the likes of the celt and civil or relative to some of your own relatives ?

what do you know about my relatives??

no idea about inexpensive beds. there's that big grass area they call ormeau park. tent erection could begin after dinner.:nenau

Sounds interesting, shifts permitting :beerjug:

Evening out in Belfast sounds grand to me! I know it won't suit everyone, but then it's nigh on impossible to find something that will...

obviously my preference would be Coleraine area rather than belfast but if more people would come to a belfast venue than to coleraine (I think there were a dozen or so in coleraine last year) then i'm good with that.
is l'etoile not a bit cramped for a table of fat GSers?

obviously coleraine would suit me better too, but in the interests of catering for those from down the other end, it might be better to alternate since we were up here last year? either way, i don't care. someone grab the bull by the horns, call the shot, and organise this...:rob

mandy, that was deserved. i am not averse to it, but someone else suggested the evening and i don't want to thunder steal (not being a thief and all). ok, what about fri 11th dec at l'etoile on the ormeau road? :nenau
