Would anyone be interested in a day on Salisbury Plain over the weekend of 27th and 28th December?

I figure that it should be pretty quiet up there over Xmas and I'm at a loose end that weekend. Providing the weathers ok it might be nice to get some fresh air and gentle off roading.

Yeah, as it stands i could well be up for that too. I'm an hr(ish) commute away, so any start after 0930 would suit me better.

What did you have in mind? I'll more likely be on a Xchal.

Would absolutely love it can you move it a wee bit closer for everyone to go:(

Well I have only been up there about half a dozen times myself and I too am about an hour away. Just thought we could meet up at about 0930 on either day and have a mooch about for about 5 hours. Best thing to do is see who's interested and which day they would prefer and go with the majority. It certainly won't be anything very organized, just meet up, look at the map and head off :)

The plains have 'novice ' sections and difficult sections. Are you planning a route suitable for Tourances... or not ?
:D

I don't know about Tourances up there in the middle of winter, depends how wet it is I suppose, I'll have Enduro 3's on the Basic and I wouldn't have thought you would want anything less than them really. That said some people go anywhere on them quite happily.

Put me down for it Trippy :thumb2

If it's on Sunday 28th & the collarbone's healed, I'll be there, either on the 400EXC or 950SE.

Cool, to save any f*cking about lets say it's Sunday 28th then.

Like I said I don't really know my way around so don't turn up thinking I'm leading a ride.
We'll just meet up at 9.30, look at the map, go for a ride, lunch somewhere, ride a bit more and head off about 3.30.

:)

Between us I`m sure something will get strung together, ah Clive :thumb

Good stuff :thumb2

All we need to know now is where could we meet at 9.30 on a Sunday morning and get a nice bacon roll and hot cup of tea :augie :)

O.K Offer is, Bacon roll cup of tea (no charges) from SP10 3BH (BAKERY) 9.30am theres 18 parking places, so you could leave van/trailers etc if nessasey.

Bacon rolls tea from 9.00- 9.45 so as to leave 10.00 :thumb leaving 10am sharp.

Is that O.K Trippy

I`m willing to guide some ( a group ) , and I`m sure somebody else will offer , as so that your not waiting around and having to look at maps for BYWAYS, and getting into trouble with the LAND WARDENS.

So if there`s bigginers and some more serious then its covered they can all come alone.

I am up for this too, hoping to have an xchallenge by then so it will be great to get it muddy!!

Cheers

David
