1. I have extended our booking to 26 bods, so everyone who has said they want to come is in. I will update the list over the next day or so.

2. I have received the menu choice, which I will circulate round everyone. We DO have to chose our menu well BEFORE the fateful day, so I WILL be chasing bods up for their choices and for their deposits.

3. I have also received the pub / restaurant's wine list. I suggest I just order up enough red and white for all of us, based on the house offering.

4. I plan on visiting the pub sometime next month anyway.

I work near by and am morbidly curious to see just how bad a table or two of tossers really looks, oh and meet a few forum members, share a pint or two, that type of thing.

All is on track for the evening; reconfirmed with the pub / restaurant yesterday.

Very good grub / beer yesterday plus a waitress from Venezuela who was very easy on the eye. What could possibly go wrong?

Wapping, I'm sorry to hear of your decision. There are a lot of members of this site and you just appeared to have tarred us with some brush you are waving around.

Perhaps I will get to meet people another time. Have a good Christmas one and all.

I've just bailed, not because of the circumstances, just that it already clashed with a team Xmas do, and I had blown them out to try and do this.

Looks like a decision has just been made for me.

Should something be planned, and my do get cancelled, then sure I would be in.

I can appreciate your disgust, but it will be a real shame that some decent 'like minded' friends won't get together for some friendly banter.

I feel pretty much the same as you and have said so, but I would urge you to reconsider....please don't let a couple of misguided half wits spoil all that you bring to this site to the benefit of all.

NB...still wouldn't come to your shite Christmas do.......
 
That's a real shame, Richard, and I hope you'll reconsider. It's clearly a matter of principle for you, which I do understand, but I don't see why cancelling the meal for a load of us should be necessary because you feel strongly about the views of one or two "biker mates."

That's a shame if so as he brought a lot to the site,I was hoping to join a wander next year :( and to also share a beer or 2 when the tiger's next visit the stoop to whoop the quinns :D:D If you speak to him please pass on my best wishes biker mate :D
