Circumference of Wales Charity Ride September 2012

Ok boys and girls, Im organising a two day ride in aid of the Welsh Air Ambulance to be run over the first weekend of September this year. The route so far starts at the Welsh Parliament Building in Cardiff and follows the coast west then north to an overnight stop on Anglesey, Day two follows the coast roads east then turns south along the boarder before returning to Cardiff. So far its 657 miles but this may alter slightly as I'm trying to sort out camping at a couple of different sights such as Anglesey Circuit, RAF Valley or a Karting Center that have helped out the Air Ambulance before. So all Im after from you guys at the moment is a show of hands as to who's interested in taking part so I have some numbers to approach possible camping venues with. When ive got things a bit better organised I'll make up a sponsorship pack with route map etc and e-mail out to all those interested.
I had a meeting with the Air Ambulance Community Development Manager yesterday and he's given me his full approval and will be happy to help with any organisational difficulties, he's also given me a contact at RAF Valley to approach about possible camping so this could be a fun weekend!!

Thanks for your support guys, tell your friends, tell your friends-friends. Looking to raise as much as possible, everyone will have their own sponsorship forms and will be responsible for sending any money collected in to the WAA. If anyone can come up with a catchy title for this run I'd be grateful, my imagination seems to have gone on holiday. After two bottles of red wine i could only come up with 'The Long WALES Round'. Also can anyone draw? Could try and get some stickers made up if we could get a design, you know the sort of thing, dragons, helicopters, bare chested ladies..........?

They had the same problem at my grandsons school with the nativity play could'nt find three wise men and a virgin

The planning is coming along well, got an insider making enquiries about camping on Anglesey. Unfortunately i'm off to the big smoke for the rest of the week so nowt further is gonna happen until the weekend, that's why i started organising now!
