City Select/Navigator: v6 Update.

FYI.

I've just finish speaking to Garmin about obtaining FOC the v6 update.

They have 8 000 each - City Select/Navigator - CDs on order and expect them within two weeks tops.

I was asked when I'd brought/registered the Garmin V [last Fri] and was told no problem.

I don't know how much before 05/01/04 the cut off date for a free v6 update is but I'd suggest it's worth ringing and asking.

I've just phoned Garmin as well (impatient git that I am )

I understand the CD is free - it's only when you go online to get the unlock code that you find out whether your update is free or not.

I don't suppose I'll be so lucky with my V second time around - it'll annoy the hell out of Gecko if I am though
