If you are having problems with the gear change, an option could be to install Pivot Pegz. I fitted these on my bike from new, and for the first 1200 miles, I didn't have ONE bad gear change. On Sunday morning, I fitted the height adjustable BMW pegs, and then went out for a 150 mile ride. Although I didn't have any bad gear changes, the box wasn't as smooth, as I could feel more through the gear lever. I then put the PP's back on, and tested it again, and the smooth changes have returned.
Don't shoot me down for this, but the pivoting action of the pegs, makes you put more pressure on EVERY gear change automatically, which leads me to believe that more force is required on every change.
Will BMW supply the pivot pegs or do you have to spend money to overcome a design fault that shouldn't be there in the first place
