...anyone know how to clean a Cordura jacket without affecting the waterproofing treatment ?

Cleaning Cordura

Just look for the washing instruction label and follow them. I have washed my Dainese jacket and pants several times. Hang them up to drip dry (over the bath is best) and when still damp, not dripping. Spray with NikWax for Cordura/Gortex, a pump bottle will do a jacket and trousers no probs. Then just let them dry. Will smell and feel like new and be just as waterproof as they ever were. PS dont forget to take out any protection pads etc.

I agree.

I use the NikWax washing solution in the machine. Rip out all the armour, bundelt the stuff into the washing machine at 40 degs.

Then it all comes out smelling gorgeous and looking like new.

I knew there had to be a downside to buying a yellow jacket <sigh>.

Wasn't liek that when I were a lad and wearing Belstaff gear. Mind you, you didn't dare sit down on anys sort of upsholstered surface like a pub chair in those days for fear of leaving a large greasy stain.

Use Lux type soap flakes NOT washing powder and make sure all traces of powder have been removed from the dispenser. I find the wash in type waterpfoof gives a much better cover
