Anybody got any useful tips on the best way and best stuff to clean the standard two-part wind-screen?

I can't seem to easily get to all the parts of it.
Any tips appreciated and any sarccy comments appreciated more..

For general cleaning I use Sdoc100 and it works well. The only reliable way I have found of cleaning the bottom part is to take it off. Only two screws. For getting scratches out I use Novus plastics polish system.

in the raised position, my wash 'mitt' fits between the two screens and i can clean all of it?

Shammy leather with warm water and then Windowlene with kitchen roll.... but as Andylel mentioned, I tend to take the bottom one off too.

Brasso is good for cleaning perspex. Best to use the stuff without the wadding in it.

Latest GS no longer has the lower screen. Replaced with redesigned plastic instrument shield.

Thanks everyone, think I'll try everything except the brasso!
I'm not buying a mitt though ffs ;)

There is good science behind a good woollen mitt being useful especially on the screen. Used with a good shampoo it will lift small dirt particles away from the surface and hang on to them. All a bit OTT for the rest of the bike but useful for the screen which easily gets covered in micro scratches from road crap.

Didn't realise how easy it was to take off both screens! Both taken off, cleaned with windowlene and back on. Looks better than new :)
