Just finished cleaning my 08 GS and its now nice and shiny.

But I did find myself cleaning mudguard under the seat. Why? I have no excuse. My question is whats the silliest bit of cleaning you have done on your bike. Im not talking about cleaning the centre stand or trying to clean the engine bash plate with a tooth brush. Thats just being thorough in my book. Im talking polishing . . . well thats for you to say :-)

Since you have excluded any contributions that might include cleaning the centre stand or trying to clean the engine bash plate with a tooth brush.

I will settle for, cleaning the mudguard under the seat.

Or, put another way, who gives a toss how you clean or polish your motorcycle, how often or why.

I like to polish my knob as often as possible....which one...well that's for you to say :)

I use my bikes everyday for the commute in all weathers and touring.

If they are dirty, I clean em with a good dose of collinte 476s to boot, ACF for winter.

There is no excuse for a Firefighter to have a dirty car/motorbike. Thats what Saturday & Sunday afternoons are for!:thumb
