Hi

I have not had my GS 1100 for many months and have found cleaning fairly easy however after being caught in the rain the bike was completly covered in mud. This proved to be a major task to return to a clean condition, the problem seems to be the amount of muck that is thrown up from the back wheel. Has anyone fitted a hugger and if so did this solve the problem

I have - and it does'nt. You can take the crap catcher off completely, it doesn't do much anyway - but at least the dirt/spray doesn't seem to accumalate as much on your bike.

HTH.

Pyramid hugger does bugger all in keeping the muck off the bike. Just something else to clean.

I would recomend getting one of these from Touratech..

I really dont understand this thread. I ride my bike every day over 60 miles of dirty tractor laden B roads usually covered in salt, grit, dirt and shit, and all you are worrying about is cleaning it after riding in the rain??
