Clear indicators

Anyone know how much it would cost for clear indicator lenses and bulbs to suit?

The lenses are about € 5.5 each and maybe € 2 for each bulb. If you do this be very careful when fitting the clear lenses.

Just wip out yer dremel a file those lugs off. And get non BMW bulbs - very easy. No idea why BWM have to be such GSin arseholes and do this type of thing.

Well Duh !!! so they can sell more of course - I used 7 on my bike alone ....what a nice little earner these items must be for the boyz in Munchen. Brittle indicator stalks and this little ploy must mean they sell millions of them.

White Lenses

I believe that the reason for the lug is so you don't put them straight on with clear bulbs, some sort of law in Germany so I'm told, but then again that could be a load of old bullocks !!.

Any way, broke two, then found the stem is thicker on the white ones and the lug to file off, so filed some off the depth and width of the lug and pushed the lense in from the middle, and they all poped in great.

If you push in from the opposite end it will break off the stem.

MBW genuine part Is £18 for the whole kit, bulbs and all. Don't know what that is in monopoly money but I would say you'd be better getting then posted from Belfast Motorrad....

I'm with you on this one Bawdy. Was out with Gecko a few weeks ago and can honestly say that I did not even notice he had indicators let alone clear ones...
