Hi, can't find the manual so thought I'd ask a quick question. Used the bike today for the 1st time for a while, noticed the clock approx 0.30 (about the amount of time riding!) whe I got back iset the clock, turned off the ignition and the clock display disappeared (can't remember if they are supposed to do that!) turned it on again and clock showing 00.001
Any ideas or has it defaulted to Bavarian Standard Time?:augie

same here

mines was also resetting back to 00:00 , got new battery and its still doing it, fuses are ok any ideas?

check all connections are tight ,and even tho its a new battery get it checked

My experience is that it is a weak battery. You may need to recheck the battery, even if the bike is starting ok. ( as I kept mine on the charger )

<<<<< said picture of fecked battery some other fecker sold me as new!!!!

Check specially battery earth cable connection to the engine, the lower end of the cable.

This is fuse 3 - nothing to do with battery problems.

Just because the fuse looks ok try swopping it with another.

clock

Hi Chaps,
As usual lots of knowledge out there, I thought the battery is ok as it been on optimate and engine starting fine so when i get a moment I'll replace the fuse:beer:
Cheers to you all

Hi chaps,
Mines been doing this for a while too. There is a thread about it somewhere. Fuse 3 is OK, battery did go flat when I didn't use the bike for a while but even when charged the clock still went off. Sometimes in the night, the little GS pixies go and turn on the clock again so when I see the bike in the morning I can see the little blighters reset the clock at, say, 2AM.

I've not yet got a multimeter to check the battery voltage but someone did say to check the HID connector as it probably corroded. Not checked that either.

So, everyone always says "knackered battery" or "fuse 3" and it seems they are the main culprits but there are a couple of other things to check too.

Regards
