Yet again I have a question- the original
Thread is very long and points get lost so
If you don't object I've started a new bit.
About this theft problem,
What place does Datatag have in identifying
A stolen unit - can you take it to a police station
Have it scanned and watch as a car full of bobbies
Race off to arrest the criminal (and eBay for fencing
It) ?
Also does anyone make a lockable Kevlar bag that
Would fit over the front part of the bike? :-)

Go to Cymarc website and invest in the clock guard. Nice bit of kit that makes it very difficult to remove clocks. Best £50 you will spend if it's a worry for you.

My bike is 90% garaged, work and home so its not an issue/worry for me. However..... If you park on the street in a city then it's fair game for Jonny scroat to lift it away for his drug money :blast:mad:

Actually you're probably right, I'd only seen a photo
Of the shiny silver but the black does appear much
More subtle (sort of).

I had my reservations as well...but the final result was good and I'm pleased with it:

OP, yes such a bag exists.

It's called a 'Shyte bag'. It's actual purpose is to prevent chilling to your bollocks but, with suitable self-help biker inginuity, could indeed be adapted to suit your purposes.

As to the other part of your double question. Another loon has taken up the cudgel of searching out crims (as they is known) wot steal things and then advertise them on the EBay. See other thread wot has the details.

Yes your right had a look , thanks.
Thanks too Tecman, it was in fact your picture that made me realise it wasn't out of keeping with the look of the instruments.

You could also use a pacsafe. On the hexheads a script only has to remove two M6 torx screws and they'll have the headlamp and the clocks.

what a totally worthless reply.

You know, I do believe you are right. It failed to properly address his question over Datatag marking. You can do that bit.

Just to remind you, it went:

JB had a go in post # 2 but I'm sure you'll do better.

Guess what! It is no different on LC! Headlights are secured same way...
