Was out in the forestry a few weeks ago, along a path which was overgrown with grass.

Going fairly slowly when the front wheel dropped and then the whack you feel and hear when something goes wrong :blast

The bike ground out on a hidden large rock. I felt it through the seat and footpegs.

So had a look in the forestry and the sump plug was a bit mashed, but it seemed OK.

next morning I went to the bike and there was a pool of oil under it. Oh Duck :blast

Had a better look and the sump plug was loose. The impact had turned it in the loose direction.

So a new sump washer and some oil and it was good as new. It must have been my lucky day.

Have a Scheffelmeier bashplate coming for it now which should be better than the plastic job.

Any low profile sump plugs with magnets on the market? Might just take a skim off the original? any thoughts appreciated :thumb

I'd just put it down to bad luck. Very rare thing to happen.

Proppa bash plate now so shouldn't happen again.
