Hill 4 leather. Are used by Motolegends when ever customer requires an alteration to a new garment or indeed a repair after an off, or a simple zipper failure.
 
Have in mind:

A. That it is possible to post or courier items for repair, so you might not need to visit them in person with the article, unless you specifically need to. A phone call might well answer the question.

B. Many simple repairs, such as replacing a zip or a smallish tear, can often be done by any half decent seamstress, even one sitting in a dry cleaners. It is often worthwhile just asking locally to where you live. In short, use your imagination; does the repair or alteration really need a specialist? Could you buy a crappy old jacket off UKGSer and cut a piece out to make a patch? With a bit of imagination, your could cut out pieces and sell them here, covering your cost. An example might be seen in Micky’s reference to ‘Master Tailor’ in Doncaster. They do not specialise in motorbike gear but could do the job. Likewise, there are several reports (not listed here) of High Street cobblers able to replace soles and / or zips in boots.

C. Following on from B above, the same repair people can often repair other items, too. It is after all often, ‘only sewing’. For example, Hideout Leather replaced a zip for me in my tank bag. I simply asked if they could do it, they sourced a suitable zip and made the repair. It wasn’t cheap-cheap but I liked the tank bag and it was cheaper than buying a brand new one. 10 years on and it’s still working. Hideout also patched my Barbour jacket, ripped on some thorns. A friend used them to replace a popper stud on a non-motorcycle centric jacket. Asking for yourself is free; not every question has to be directed to UKGSer. Give it a go. If you have a good result, post it up here, with just some basic details. It’s not hard.

I used Dobbs to change a zip and repair a tear in my flying jacket, cracking service and job.
 
I use Chris at Ninelives, top bloke. Recently repaired a Rukka jacket and trousers that i had an off with some time ago, did not want to bin the jacket or trousers as IMHO its better than the latest stuff with far more armacor on it than latest kit. Fully repaired the arm on it and have tested in some crappy weather and its fully waterproof. Some before and after images.

I can recommend B&C Leather, in Yeovil, Somerset, repaired my Twat Jacket and Leatherguard troos, and inexpensive too. Run from their house, but ex Pittards

What I could do with is an outfit who can clean leather, I've a jacket bought used that someone had 'waterproofed' with wax :rolleyes:. Scrubbers would have done it, but they are no more, not found anyone else yet.

Why not call someone like, Hideout, who may well know. There are of course lots of videos on how to DIY.
