I always thought that you just measured across your palm from base of index finger to base of little finger and the distance in cm is your glove size. Seems straightforward to me…
The main thing about sizing is consistency. You’ll never get it between manufacturers but I always know that if I buy a BMW item in regular size 52, it will be exactly the same as another similar item of regular size 52 whether it’s jackets or trousers.

Im a pre decimalistion & pre metric child

But i move between Metric & Imperial as it suits

Measuremets are feet and inches untill it gets below an inch then it's mm -

Weights are always 1bs and oz unless im doign stuff and then i use conversion cups / jugs / scales

Speed is and always will be imperial

and bring back "bob a job"
